My idea would be to have a link on the picture page that when clicked on would open a popup containing google maps with it zooming in on the point the picture was taken. How would it do this, by reading the GPS part of the EXIF details. I think you would need the ability to turn this on and off not just as a global setting but also as an individual image basis, as you might not want this kind of detail for all images.
