I am running a site where all registered users are allowed to upload theire own images/galleries.

One problem that has occured is that the filenames of two separate uploades has been identical.
So if I upload an image, called image.jpg, and another upload an image called image.jpg, then only
the last uploaded image will be viewd on the page.

Now this is a problem. When people are uploading an image to my site, they now have to do a 'difficult' procedure
to rename theire files to something uniqe before uploading. So that we are guaranteed to not have any future problems.

But that is too difficult for my users to understand, so now no one is uploading images anymore.

So why not make an auto procedure from RSGallery to rename the files to etc. date-clcok when uploaded?
Or is that a too difficult task to do??

WWW

I would put in a vote for renaming Smiley My collection is now over 1500 photos and I am having to rename the files before uploading. Even the date-time appended would be sufficient ..
