35  RSGallery2 / General discussion / Re: 1.14.02 alpha only available - is there a current stable release? on: February 14, 2008, 09:38:28 am
by the way, make sure you use rsgallery2 1.14.3 as it fixes a security issue
36  RSGallery2 / General discussion / Re: 1.14.02 alpha only available - is there a current stable release? on: February 14, 2008, 09:37:47 am
1.14.2 is considered a production ready alpha, this basically means that the line of development will allow new features to be added, but this release will probably work like a charm on your website

We have done this because we wanted the templating system and joomla 1.5 integration to be complete before going to beta and stable status

do a test first, and when it works, you can use it on a production website, if you run into troubles, the forum is here to help

the superclean template was never designed for 1.14.x and needs to be redesigned in order for it to work
it's not some simple code addition, sorry

you'd need to make an entire new database table, or add these columns to the files database table (last is best solution), but I guess you figured as much

this can't of course be part of the component code, as it is so specific to your website, I don't have time to really tackle the issue, perhaps someone else has the same problem and is willing to think this through with you.

splitting your post from this thread as it does not match the subject

ok, after many attempts I discovered that my own slideshow module also creates this error, I'll need to deal with that

further more, I used a different method, described here: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/activecontent/articles/devletter.html#multipleoccurrences

the code below worked for me

Code:
<script type="text/javascript">
AC_FL_RunContent('codebase','http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=7,0,19,0','width','135','height','500','wmode','transparent','align','middle','src','<?php echo $mosConfig_live_site?>/templates/<?php echo $cur_template?>/Sponsors','quality','high','bgcolor','#ffffff','name','Sponsors','allowscriptaccess','sameDomain','pluginspage','http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer','movie','<?php echo $mosConfig_live_site?>/templates/<?php echo $cur_template?>/Sponsors' );
</script>
<noscript>
<object classid='clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000' codebase='http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=5,0,0,0' width='135' height='500' id='Sponsors14' align='middle'><param name='allowScriptAccess' value='sameDomain' />
<param name='movie' value='<?php echo $mosConfig_live_site?>/templates/<?php echo $cur_template?>/Sponsors.swf' /><param name='quality'  value='high' /><param name='wmode' value='transparant' /><embed src='<?php echo $mosConfig_live_site?>/templates/<?php echo $cur_template?>/Sponsors.swf' width='135' height='500' wmode='transparant' name='Sponsors' align='middle' allowScriptAccess='sameDomain' type='application/x-shockwave-flash' pluginspage='http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer' />
</embed></object>

it does indeed seem to be the culprit, but my flash sponsor rotating banner, won't load at all now on all the pages now, also when I call the mootools file

I'm going to use another way of getting the flashmovie to display correctly

going to try the Adobe solution:
http://www.adobe.com/devnet/activecontent/articles/devletter.html -> same problem Sad

I merged your post into this as it concerns the same problem
44  RSgallery2 support forums / RSgallery2 modules and plugins (mambots) / Re: How does RSitem determine "popular" images to show? on: February 12, 2008, 03:54:27 pm
popular displays the images with the most hits, RSGallery2 records those

it can work on its own
45  RSgallery2 support forums / Resolved Issues / Re: [INFO REQD] Unable to display Galleries on IE 7 - Crash w/ mod_flashrotator on: February 12, 2008, 05:27:26 am
I have encountered the same problem here: http://www.stud.tue.nl/~cheops/Mambo4.5.2/index.php?option=com_rsgallery2&Itemid=230

and did some researche: Google search
the error seems to popup on a lot of different occasions

perhaps this is the solution: http://www.mysticcoders.com/blog/2007/03/20/internet-explorer-cannot-open-the-internet-site-operation-aborted/

I do not exactly know where in the code the mootools script is used, simply disabling the lightbox++ popup did not solve the problem for me

it was fine with 1.12.2, but with 1.14.2 the error pops up (I know, should have updated earlier Wink)
