"Database entries do NOT work"

"Database entries do NOT work" - is this an error?

joomla 1.0.13, rsgallery 1.14.1.

when i go to rsgallery2 > maintenance > consolidate database, i get this notice:

Experimental at this stage. Single image regeneration works.
Database entries do NOT work!.

is that a problem? i'm not sure what that last line means.

i am getting weird and buggy behavior in general with rsgallery2. different templates don't seem to work - only the default template works. (i really want to use superclean or supercleanHS.)

EDIT: i just tested the same in 1.14.2, same results. also: i can't install any templates. when i go to the templates > install page, it uploads the template i specify, but once the upload is complete, it returns me to the list of the available templates, and my new template is not available. (i've tried superclean 0.4, superclean 0.5, and supercleanHS.)

A lot of the templates do not work with 1.14.1 or above. They still need to be updated. If you don't see your template after installing it, check Joomla's Template Manager... and delete it from there. We will post on the download page the templates that work with 1.14.2 as we make it happen.

The Database entries do NOT work message is not an error, only telling you that it hasn't been finished coding yet.

to be able to use superclean, what version of rsgallery would you recommend i go back to?

the downloads page is very confusing. a lot of older versions, mostly tagged alpha, and it's very hard to see which version is the last stable release. seems like many versions were not really finished - they just went to the next alpha.

you say it won't work with 1.14.1, or above, so i thought to try 1.13, but this isn't on the downloads page. 1.12 is, but it's tagged alpha. is there a finished 1.12?

does this software ever go anywhere other than alpha?
