Are there any plans to add image tags?  (Such as Coppermine uses.)

I have a number of galleries that I would like to sort in multiple ways.  For example, the categories might be portraits, landscapes and still life (for an art gallery), but I would tag them with acrylic, mixed media, colored pencil, etc. so users had a way to view all images of a certain medium.

I'm loving RSGallery2, but this is the one feature I really miss.

WWW

It is in progress. It's one of the features I need for myself.

Got bogged down on some other things but things back to normal now so shouldn't be long...

WWW

It's taking longer than I thought, and I can't spend too much time on it, darned real life lol

The backend side is pretty much done and on the svn in the trunk. All thats left is the front end functions and template work.

Should take a couple days, but I'll say will take me a month Smiley

Along the same lines what about tagging individuals in the picture from the joomla user list a la facefook?

I've been back to this gallery and other on multiple occasions looking for this very feature! I'm about ready to launch a site and just came back again to see this thread.

This looks like great news. Will this be included in the standard release once its finished for via the svn thinga.

Should I install RSGallery now and start uploading images or wait till this is complete!

Thanks for the great work!

The template side is whats been slowing me down. Got a little more complicated than I thought, with all the ACL and permissions and all of that.

What I'm thinking about doing is just allowing all tagging from backend and let someone else make the template Smiley

damn real life keeps getting in teh way of the fun stuff
