Hi to everyone, i want to ask you sorry for my basic english, i'm an italian guy, and  i hope to be understandable

I'm trying to install com_rsgallery2_legacy_1.14.3.zip on my site made whit a joomla 1.5 package whith legacy mode setted, on.

I've tryed the load and install, and also the installation from TEMP directory. The only result is the return to the main page ( administration panel )

The only one thing, that i suppose ( but i'm not sure ) is that i've tryed to install the com_rsgallery2_legacy_1.14.3.zip on native 1.5 setting, or the com_rsgallery2_2.0.0b1.zip ( 1.5 native component ) on a 1.5 native setted joomla.

If i've done this mistake, what can i do, delete the admin\components\rs2gallery files and the components\rs2gallery files too.

What i'm doing wrong ? ? ?

WWW

Have you installed other components before?
permissions set and all that?
Did the tables get created in the database?
Are there rsgallery2 folders in admin and component dir?
Does rsg show up in joomla menu?

Maybe try setting joomla to english version if its in italian mode, could be a problem with tranlastion file

I honestly have never tried the install, always manually installed because was paranoid about losing database lol  Throw back the old versions of rsg

1 - I have installed other components like community builder ( need legacy ), and a few other, and work fine.
2 - All the permissions are ok
3 - If a table was created by rs2 with a kind of " jos_rs2 " or similar, don't appear
4 - No, twice, don't appear files
5 - No don't appear in joomla menu . . .

6 - I'll check asap . . .

Yeap, this one works . . .

But only after a big variety of combinations, everything, work fine . . .

The right one was : setting joomla language to english ( but only in administrator side, not user ) and the installation was started from the " temp " directory on the server ( direct install don't work , like the url install too )

Thank you, Chef Groovy , you support is really fine ( i go to modify my topic name to : " resolved " )

No problem.  Now comes the hard part.  WHY did it fail?  I wonder if its a rsg problem or a joomla problem

Are you using the newest version of Joomla (1.5.7 ?)
