Hi all,

Just about to set up a Joomla site for a client and it will be the first time I use RSGallery, whoch I find really easy to use. But a couple of questions...

* The client needs watermarking at all time, but from what I read, there is no solution to have watermarks auto appear on the full-size images in the gallery (other than watermarking prior to uploading)...but I wondered, is there a way to disable the option to view at full size? In other words, they only see a watermarked imaged and can't see the bigger picture.

* Next, my client wants to use the gallery as a simple cart...no payments etc (I've looked at cart systems and they were too complex) but he would like either an email link on each page or a way to click on an image and have an email generated with the name of the image in the email.....is that possible at all?

Maybe the two things could be done at once? Replacing the "view full size image" feature and replace with with a custom generated email string???

Thanks in advance.

Phil

WWW

Philip,

Goto the backend Control Panel. On the tab display you will find the option "Popup style". Set this to "No popup" and the popup option will not be available.

I understand your second request. At the moment we do not introduce more features, so this will not be available soon.

Thanks, but I can't see any pop-up option? I've installed "1.11.10 Alpha"....is it missing from that?

WWW

aha,

You are correct. If you upgrade to the latest nightly build, it will be there.

Good luck,

I have made some progress.. if you visit my website www.whoooop.com and go to gallery then pick up a picture click download it will then ask you for an email and then send you the photo..
The email is stored in a log file... It only needs to stored that email on a table in any database. IF anyone wants to take a look just ask.

WWW

maybe you can turn it into a tab, call it e-mail and that way you can just put an e-mail form in it, and let people send the image to someone else with a message attached to it

just a thought of course

what do you use the logfile for? I suspect you use sendmail? why would you have to store the e-mail address then? or are you planning on spamming them Wink?

Well I dont know how to make it a tab.. And its better to just enter your email and download the picture that going through the registration process (that not to many people like it). I need the emails because this is like a club webpage and I threw some parties.. When I do that  I want to inform them of that party. They had the choice to unsubscribe from that list.
But it would be better if its just stored that email on my email marketing data base..
