WWW

Hi,

I would like to help in getting this component working. I don\'t have good php coding skills, I mostly use Open Source scripts and fit them to my needs.

I created one component and one module for Mambo doing this (can\'t login to mamboforge so I can\'t post them as projects). They are very basic.

This component fetches zip-files form a folder and makes them available for download without the fuss of a database, and the other (the module) does the same with jpegs thumbnails, of which the filenames have been changed into the website url, the thumbnails must link to. This is used to display sponsors. Both can be found working on www.cheops.cc.

And I also created some sendmail forms, but that can hardly be called coding.

So maybe coding isn\'t my best thing I can, but I am willing to spend some time trying and discussing things, looking for things like bad paths (see thread thumbs dont appear after batch upload.

I couldn\'t aply for membership on the dev page, so I thought I\'d try here.

Regards,
Daniël

P.S.: Websites:

www.cheops.cc(under construction)
Links to other websites of mine are on those sites.

Hey Daniel - all help is much appreciated no matter how \"small\". I\'m no coding expert either, and there are a ton os small problems and errors that can be taken care of. Why were you unable to apply for the membership? Did you go to the developer.joomla.org? Are you familiar with SVN (Subversion), as we are using it now instead of CVS?

Hi,

no I have never been in contat with Subversion before (as far as I know). I just couldn\'t find any register links or something like that via the link to the Dev page in the news item (on the frontpage of the RSgallery2 website.

How can I register?

Daniël

Hi,

I am testing, no using <g> 1.93Alpha (this one works fine with Mambelfish!)right now. I made a germanf language file, and 3 working Mambelfish XMLs. If interesseted, pls tell me where I can upload them.

BTW, Mambelfish, could you please put the \"Introtext\" in the language file, or in the database, so that the fish can translate it?

best,

Dirk
