i can't see the problem now, only thing is, when I click an image, it says: RSGallery2: Access denied to gallery 92,

you will need to turn on the use of acl in the backend of the module, then images from forbidden galleries, will not be displayed

the strange thing is that this pictures are not forbidden, every gallery has acces for: anyone, If you go to the gallery where the picture is placed and than go to a picture everything goes well. I think there is a problem in the module

so people have access to all galleries, why would you enable acl then?

WWW

ok, I had a look at it and these are the links:
module:
http://www.berggeit.nl/index.php?option=com_rsgallery2&page=inline&id=13&catid=33&limitstart=428&Itemid=500

component:
http://www.berggeit.nl/index.php?option=com_rsgallery2&Itemid=500&page=inline&id=13&catid=33&limitstart=8

so the limitstart from the module is different from that of the component, I'll have a look at it this weekend

can you tell me, have you deleted and or moved around images in that gallery?

The only thing I did was installing the Nightly Build, uninstall and re-install rsgallery2 1.12.2, and it seems to be that the problem was created after installing the nightly build.

hi!

I have the same problem, but deleted one picture and moved less than 10 from one category to another. I took it that it is part of the "known issues" from the "known issue" section of your site. Anyhow any estimation on how long it will take to be fixed (Is it a tough issue?)?

Thanks

if what I have in mind works, it shouldn't be that hard, if that doesn't, we have a more serious problem

I'll get back to you on this one

Hi again!

Actually I replaced the module by an Ajax image rotator (can only show 1 pic simultaneously but they rotate) and it's doing the job for now. Will still be happy to get the fix so the pix get linked directly to their own full resolution counterpart instead of the home page of the gallery for now (limitation of the module I am using).

Well thanks for the fast response anyway.

WWW

yes, we do know what the problem is, but not what is causing it, the idea I had didn't work

the problem is the determination of the limitstart, this is done in a few different ways in RSGallery2, we haven't found a solution yet, so it is not a problem with the module, but within the component, we'll let you know when we do have the solution, but it would be wise to keep reminding us of this bug Wink

Hi! Any luck finding where the problem is?

Else is there a way (without recreating the whole gallery) to reinitialize whatever is broken and then I'll be careful not to delete or move and pic from now on?

Thanks

I believe Jonah has fixed this problem with the limitstart, you can wait for the next alpha release (not in the very near future) or test and install the latest nightly build

report back about it please

Hi!

Thanks. I tried and:
1. Seems the fancy pop up window no longer works
2. Clicking on thumbnails from RSItems still gives an empty page, though no more "No images in gallery" error message unless you refresh that page.

Sad

and the css has changed. I get a different layout with different colors... Reinstalling the "old" alpha put everything back to normal (even the "No images in gallery" error message)
