Hi!

First I must give the devs of RSGallery2 a big applause. I remember when I first heard of this component and looked it up, I thought it sucked and now when I come back here I think "hey, this looks really interesting and good". Really nice work. Smiley

I'm looking for my dream gallery and I wonder if RSGallery2 might fit the bill. Besides automagical creation of thumbnails most of my dream features are ACL-related. What I would love is this:

  • Unregistered user should only be able to browse the gallery (not be able to upload)
  • Registered users should be able to create galleries and upload images
  • All users should be able to upload to all galleries (unless the gallery is specificly marked as private)
  • (The ultimate would probably be the possibility to choose if a gallery is private, public or "invite")
  • The gallery owner should have total control, I.E. owner should be able to delete and edit images added to his gallery
  • The image owner should retain control of his image, I.E. if you have uploaded an image to a gallery created by another user the owner can still edit and delete his image
  • The possibility to "archive" a gallery, with this I mean the possibility to lockdown a gallery so that no further changes can be made.

That's all I can think of right now. Som my question is:
What can RSGallery2 do and not do? Are some of the "not dos" planned in the future?

This message is written of and during several hours so it might be incoherent and if so I apologize.
