Topic: Installation Error  (Read 6275 times)

When I\'m trying to install RSGallery 1.10.11 Alpha everything goes fine untill the \"fresh install, migrate, etc\" option. When I click either of those options I get the followwing error:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected \'}\' in ..\\administrator\\components\\com_rsgallery2\\admin.rsgallery2.html.php on line 906

I\'m using WampServer 1.6.1 (with Apache2, PHP4, Mysql 5.x) and Joomla 1.0.8 on a Windows XP Pro system.

Please advice.

there\'s nothing wrong with the code in question.  perhaps the file is corrupted?  try redownloading and reinstalling.

MD5SUM is the same on both files. When I install the same download on a server at my hosting provider everything works fine.

But my WAMPServer is my development site so I would like to test RSGallery2.

My hosting provider uses a Linux environment.

I\'ve got the same problem trying to install on WAMP. Change row 893 in admin.rsgallery2.html.php from:

<? endif; ?>

to:

<?php endif; ?>

Or enable php shorttags.

As per the instructions, I uninstalled RSG2 and installed using the xip file.  I get the following error when trying to install the newer version from 1.10.2 to 1.10.11:

Use dev build 220 or 230 instead.  Both are relatively stable.
