I just accidentally left the ftp path to my main site, and it DELETED everything that wasn't a valid image file!!!  Warning!!!  This is an accident waiting to happen... it happened to me.. it deleted all PHP files, etc!

OK,

The fact that you left the wrong FTP path, is very unfortunate. The problem is that we are not able to check whether to path you entered is the path you meant to provide.

What I don't get is that you see an overview of the images in step 2. This might have given you a clue that this was the wrong folder. Or were the images already gone by then? If so, let me know.

no i did not see any overview.

on the first screen where it asks for you 1. ftp or zip, 2. category or id later
- i selected ftp and entered the root path
- selected a category
- clicked next

on the second screen, it gave me a scripting of it not recognizing a bunch of files and deleting those that were not jpg/gif/png files.

what i dont understand is why is the program deleting files just becuase they are not .jpg/gif/png files.. why doesnt it just leave them be?
