Title: Image description problem - shows html tags Post by: Alain on January 07, 2007, 06:26:56 am Hi,
I seem to have problems with image descriptions. The text appears to display as html code rather than the formatted text. I've attached two jpgs, one from within Manage Images in RS Gallery, and the other the end result on the web page. As you can see the html tags are showing. I had upgraded to 1.12.1 today. It seems to work fine except for this. I tried adding descriptions on 3 images with the same result. Any ideas of how to fix this? Thanks, Alain Title: Re: Image description problem - shows html tags Post by: sky on January 09, 2007, 08:29:39 pm Me too, i got the same things out. Hope someone would advise. :-[

Just upgrade to the latest Nightly Build, then it should be working. Title: Re: Image description problem - shows html tags Post by: sky on January 10, 2007, 04:44:30 am my RS version is 1.12.1 alpha, it should be the latest one...
things still the same :-\ Title: Re: Image description problem - shows html tags Post by: Daniel Tulp on January 10, 2007, 10:10:37 am that is an alpha version, what Ronald is saying you should go here: http://rsgallery2.net/content/view/55/24/
and download the latest nightly build (read the instructinos about the install, this is a bit different form the normal install) Title: Re: Image description problem - shows html tags Post by: sky on January 11, 2007, 08:11:03 pm Thanks Dan and Ron. It's now all OK with the latest nightly build version.
cheers mate. ;) Title: Re: Image description problem - shows html tags Post by: markosaurus on December 01, 2008, 08:33:58 am Hi there,
Great component you have here first of all. I'm seeing the same problem with the html tags showing however, it seems to happen when you have edited the description text from the back-end. I have the site already to go and really don't want to upgrade to a different version as I already have numerous other customisations in place throughout the code. Is there any way I can just alter what I already have in order to prevent this happening? Installing a nightly build and then re-customizing is a big job. I'm a PHP Developer myself so if someone could point me to where the problem is arising (I'm guessing the edit function which is saving the description back into the database) then I'm confident that I can resolve it myself. Here's hoping. Thanks in advance. |
