1  Developers corner / Nightly Builds for RSGallery2 Legacy, J1.5 or J1.0 - Now Reopened! / [SOLVED READ][SVN-514] HTML in image description displays in image alt tag on: December 14, 2007, 10:09:06 am
Etienne's solution worked.  Follow the instructions above to fix your galleries.  The fix has not been applied to any of the nightly builds thus far.

Thank You again Etienne !

I do not particularly want to lose the description in the alt.  I just don't want the html coding displaying in the alt.  Anyway around losing the alt altogether?

Could we display the title in the alt instead?  How?

6  RSgallery2 support forums / Display and Templates / I want to remove the display images. on: November 27, 2007, 09:53:00 pm
Basically I want to display all my images in the galleries as thumbnails only.  I want to remove the ability for a user to click a thumbnail image and get a larger one.

Where can I comment out or change some code for this?

Thanks in advance.

unfortunately that method didn't work.  in theory it should have.  but it didn't.  to make a really long story short.  I ended up installing, uninstalling, reconfiguring hard code then reinstalling then configuring again in the admin and it worked.

By the way, this is excellent.  Now my {mosimage} can use my gallery images!  Maybe in future versions you guys ought to consider coding for the galleries to create in the images/stories/ folder so that others can use it.  I also ended up dumping about 500 photo's just to get this to work.

on another note- when you turn the status off in the display in the config it moves the titles of the galleries over to far to the left

on yet another note- my display is now off and I can't modify the code to fix it

For anyone that will ever need to know this here are the files that need config changes:

config.rsgallery2.php
config.class.php
install.class.php
english.php (or your language)

The reason I needed this was I wanted the ability to use mosimages from the gallery and in order to do that the files needed to be in the stories directory.  However, simply changing the folders in the config located in the admin didn't work for me, even after reuploading over 500 images.  I believe there is a conflict between cPanel 11 and alot of applications.  The security is so tight on the new cPanel that I can hardly modify anything.  So, now I have found the files and I am modifying the config.  I'm gonna zip it back up re-install it and upload all these stinking images again!

Take care everyone!

Okay really long story and I won't bore you with most of it.  I'll cut to the chase and just say what I need to know.

I need to know where I modify the initial configuration of image directories.  Before install.  What I need to do is change the configuration to create the directories in the images/stories/ directory upon install instead of default.

Any info is greatly appreciated!
