Anyone had a memory problem with galleries having more than 10,000 images?   I think it may be more a problem with Joomla 1.0.15 than with Rsgallery.

Just wondering.

Yep,
but it happens a lot quicker. It goes wrong with +/- 2000 images.

You could alleviate this problem by increasing the limits in php.ini (see FAQ topic about uploading large zip files).  RSG2 itself does need more performance tuning however.

Due to time constraints, I have taken a step back from RSGallery2.  In the event of an emergency, you will need to PM me.

Oine thing that fixed mine was to limit number of galleries on the front page to 5

and add the line
Code:
php_value memory_limit 32M

to your .htaccess file

I've got 20 some galleries and over 6000 images now, I had the php memory at 24m and it broke again about 5000 images. will see how far it goes

see http://www.teknobites.com/2007/04/27/how-to-edit-phpini-file-to-increase-memory-limit/ for more info on increasing php memory
