upgrading from 1.9.7 to 1.10.4

How does one upgrade from RSGAllery2 1.9.7 to 1.10.4? When installing, I had the option to upgrade, and I tried that but it timed out my server and then nothing had transferred from com_rsgallery to com_rsgallery2.

Is that really the way to do it?

short answer: you can\'t. do a new installation instead.

long answer: upgrades between alpha versions has only been possible since RSG2 1.10.2 alpha. previous to this too many changes were done with file/database storage and naming methods. that is why these are alphas.

if you have a lot of images, and you feel up to doing a bunch of renaming/database hacking, it is possible to do a manual migration.
