Hi,

I tried to install RSGallery2 into my joomla site on funpic.de but get into problems with ini_set() being disabled for security reasons. Is there any way to get around this?

I know a little php but am not very familiar with programmaing for joomla. Any help will be apreciated.

Looking at your post my guess is you have errors on installation? Can you specify where you run into trouble?

Hi Ronald,

To answer you question I performed a clean installation:
- I downloaded com_rsgallery2_1.10.4-aplha.zip and started installing,
- The first message I get is : \"Warning: php_uname() has been disabled for security reasons in /usr/export/www/vhosts/funnetwork/hosting/siebring/administrator/includes/pcl/pclzip.lib.php on line 4964\"
- When I ignore this and click on \"Fresh Install\" the next screen starts with \"Warning: ini_set() has been disabled for security reasons in /usr/export/www/vhosts/funnetwork/hosting/siebring/includes/PEAR/PEAR.php on line 58\"
- If I keep ignoring this lots more similar messages keep coming.

Is there any setting I can change to solve this?

Regards,

Wim

these are functions within Joomla core libraries.  ultimately you will need to change your PHP settings to continue using Joomla and RSG2.

Due to time constraints, I have taken a step back from RSGallery2.  In the event of an emergency, you will need to PM me.
