My Forum account was blocked, have I done anything wrong?

Sorry to have to create a new account to post, because my old account was blocked.

I have learn the name RS Gallery2 long time ago, but I decided to use Zoom Media Gallery because at that time RS Gallery2 was not mature enough. So I seldom post in this forum. Is that the reason I was blocked?

Now I learn the name RS Gallery2 again and heard it is much stronger. Also I cannot tolerate the buggy ZMG any longer, so I switched to RSG2. I hope I can contribute more by reporting bugs etc. but I found my old account was blocked. Cry

my old username is : mikeho1980
It doesn't matter for me to continue using this new account, but I want to know why I was blocked.

I checked the database, but your account is not blocked, so you should be able to login with that. Perhaps the password is not correct?

Can you tell me if you had any error messages when logging in with the account?

You registered at 1-09-2006 but according to the statistics you never logged in since that day.
It could be that you registered before the transition to the new forum.

Also we do not block user that migrate away and start user other gallery solutions. We know RSGallery2 is not stable yet, but we do believe this is becoming a powerfull solution very quickly now. So we are glad you are back!.

Let me know what I need to do with your old account.

Waooo, thanks for that quick reply.

The password was correct, if it is incorrect, it should prompt me the password was incorrect, however, if I use my old username to login, I just got a pop up message "Your account was blocked. Please contact the administrator"
with a "OK" button. Did it block users automatically when failed to enter correct password for x times?

um.... Could you please delete the old account and rename this new account username "mcho" to "mikeho1980"

Sorry,

SMF does not let me modify user names. I did delete your old account, so you can use that username to create a new one.
After you've done that, I'll delete the current one.
