Ok sorry for the noob question but I searched the forums and I can't find ANY tutorial for simply displaying the gallery. I've installed RSGallery2 beta 5 and uploaded an image, but how do I get it to display on a page??

first, there is no rsgallery2 beta 5, so I guess you installed rsgallery beta 5 (note the missing 2), this is a very old version of the component with a lot of bugs, so please install the latest rsgallery2 release (1.11.10 at the moment)

to get the gallery to display, just add a menu item linking to the component to you menu using the joomla menu manager (basic joomla tutorials can help you do this if you don't understand how to)

Ok I don't understand this...under mainmenu, I created a new menu item called Gallery and added the RSGallery component to it, set the parent item to Top, published, and public access. I copy the URL and add it to the URL for the site and the website comes up but no RSGallery...what am I doing wrong? I have 4 years of PHP experience and yet I can't figure this out! Why is there no simple documentation for setting this up? I did the menu tutorial but that's not enough because it's still not working! Thanks for the help I appreciate it.
