Thank you for a software with great potential. However, as i installed your alpha build there were problems with the batch uploading. Therefore i went for the SVN 583 after uninstalling the alpha (i believe its SVN 530?). However after the installation of SVN 583, the programme was ID as SVN 578 in the Joomla admin and front-end. The batch upload funktion still did not work, however single upload and frontend upload did.

Finally, as i have had som issues with CHOD settings i looked at the /images/rsgallery and saw that it only had permissions set to 550, which i tried to change, without any luck. now the setting for my folder is 0 and it remain unchangeable as it was created by httpd:httpd.

im running Joomla 1.0.12

Oh and you havent figured it out yet, i am as noob as it gets. please forgive any ridiculus Questions.

the chmod problem has to do with ownership of the folders

as they were made by the server when installing the component, the server is the owner and not you, so you won't be able to adjust anything using ftp

you'll have to install joomlaxplorer from the extensions website of joomla, you can use that component to chmod the folder, thry batch upload after that again

After a bit of fiddeling I worked it out. I had created a fully CMOD-able dir called images/rsgallery2/ and renamed the original. I then had to re-rename the original direktor and removw it with the regular remove Everything alternative. After that I uninstalled and everthing was as it used to. However: I dont seem to get around the batch upoad problem.

1) It appears to semi-function: all images are uploaded to the /images/rsgallery2/original/ folder, and I see them correctly in the thumbnail view where one is given the option ->Next ore Upload. The Next button doesnt work so I press the Upload button again. At this point the screen returns to the batch upload.

However if I look at my pictures, 2 or three have been added of the 10 (size: 7,7 Mb) zipped pixs I tried to upload. They exist as Images also in the front end. The other are mysteriously disappeared.

I also tried the add another feature on the Upload images with exactly the same result, leading me to believe that there is some invisible "can only upload 2-3 pixs at a time boarder.

2) A front-end batch uploading function would be a dream come true...... Smiley It would certainly fit my needs like a glove.

Thanks still and keep up the great work. Rsgallery has enourmous potentiale.

It sounds like the batch upload is going through, but is incomplete.  Please see the FAQ: http://rsgallery2.net/content/view/13/21#batch

Due to time constraints, I have taken a step back from RSGallery2.  In the event of an emergency, you will need to PM me.
