Hello,
how can I integrate a single gallery into specific content? Is it possible at all?

Example:
*static content - blablabla text*
-> single gallery <-
*more static content - blablabla text*

that was the one I meant, but I guess it is very old, I believe Jonathan (new dev) was working on some plugins so you'll need to wait a bit for it

It's finished, but it depends on 1.14.0, so shortly after 1.14.0 is released mambots (plugins) to insert galleries and individual pictures will be released.

Great, thank you for the info. I cannot await the day  Grin
I guess these mabots will be published in the normal download section, right?

these posts in this thread are from june 07
I don't see 1.14.0 or any mambots yet

do you expect to release those anytime soon?
maybe you have them by special request
and you could email them to me
I'd love to try those

love the gallery though
its very very stable
(a nice feature)

well, to speed up the release of 1.14.0 you can test nightly builds, you can find the files of the plugin that is being developed here:
http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/rsgallery2/scmsvn/?action=browse&path=%2Fplg_rsg2_display%2Ftrunk%2F

Ya, so this is working quite nicely with the latest nightlies.  But you would have to use a nightly build which are often buggy in various ways.  Here's how to do it:

Read http://rsgallery2.net/content/view/55/24/

Go to: http://rsgallery2.net/nightly/

Download RSG2 the component, download templates that you want (photobox is nice for content), download the mambots from the plugins directory.

Install them all.

Follow the instructions in the display mambot to insert a gallery in an article.

first I uninstall the component (and leave the RSgallery_slideshow module I'm guessing)
then install the SVN version of the component

I have  RSgallery2  slideshow 1.2.2 installed and works great
but I don't see an SVN version of that one
so I guess just leave it installed

which is the mambot for putting a slideshow into the content?

is it this one?

rsg2_plg_rsg2_singledisplay._svn_rev_199.zip
or
rsg2_plg_rsg2_display._svn_rev_204.zip

are those for joomla 1.5 maybe?
I'm on joomla 1.0.13

what's this file?
rsg2_mod_rsg2_mdwErica._svn_rev_206.zip

maybe there's a page that explains what all the files are...

will this SVN version still work with my RSgallery_slideshow module, that's working great now

and ONE more question:

I'm guessing I replace this file with the one in the SVN directory?

english.php.txt

I'm not sure, should be ok, but could be that something the slideshow module uses, was changed in the SVN

english.php.txt
no need to, this is just a language file, the ones in the SVN are the latest

rsg2_plg_rsg2_display._svn_rev_204.zip
"places a gallery into a content item"

is that a module? or a mambot?
the "plg" made me think it was for joomla 1.5...

I guess if it breaks, i can uninstall the SVN
and put the old component back up

plg means of course plugin, that is just the new name for mambot

and indeed, trying won't hurt you when it's not on a production site
