There are some browsing issues. When browsing sub galleries, not all the galleries are avaiable. On my site galleries are set up so each person has their own gallery, the users then usually add sub galleries, one for each year. Beneath this again there are galleries for place and time. It is browsing this bottom line of galleries that is causing the problem. One can't find the last two or three galleries. The gallery is there, and the photo's pop up in random images, and latest images, but when browsing galleries, the specific gallery is nowhere to be found. Anyone with a solution ?? To see the browsing problem, visit www.aurebu.com, and browse the galleries of Matthew G. Hauge. You will find that the last subgallery is named "05.31-06.03.2007 (Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun)". while in fact, the last gallery is: " 06.07-06.16.2007 (Thurs to Saturday, Finland Trip)". The two last galleries entered are "missing"

This error has followed all upgrades of the gallery from I installed it and up to the latest version which is 1.13.1

Is everyone speachless on this issue ?? There has been 255 viewings, and no one has replied. I am afraid that I will have to migrate to a different gallery system. if there is no solution to my problem.
Gallery 2 has these functions, and they work, as well as several other functions that RSgallery2 lacks. Gallery2 also has a joomla integration feature.

Hi Matt,

this is really surprising me, as I never had this issue with the same version. But actually with the Nightly build SVN 196, I got something like or similar to this issue.
I can by for not explain what the problem could be. But it looks like a db to object-link thing.

BTW: I used G2 before. In general a real good gallery, but it includes to much for me and the G2 bridge for Joomla didn't match my needs. I still think RSG2 is the better one from a design point of view.

regards,
Stefan

Thank you Stefan.
At least I now have an idea of what the problem might be. I have a domain on a different web hotell, and I will see if everything works there. The server that I have the problem on is one of www.one.com's servers. I have tried changing from PHP4 to PHP5, as well as all the other options possible, and all nothing has helped.

WWW

do you still have the 1.13.1 version installed?

it looks like the catid is not parsed correctly in the navigation links

cause if you look here: http://www.aurebu.com/index.php?option=com_rsgallery2&Itemid=26&catid=24&limit=5&limitstart=15
the galleries you describe are there

Yes, the galleries are there, but when browsing above a certain level, or selecting certain buttons within the gallery, the problem pops up. If I manually edit the ling in the address bar, the gallery will show properly. The problem is that I can not figure out what is causing this problem.

I am still using the old version, because the updated ones really messed up my site. There where the same issues + lots of others, causing the gallery not to show at all. RSgallery2 is not the only component that I have had problems with. I have also problems with Google maps. the issue there seems to be related. when adding coordinates to the database, the numbers get altered, causing the markers to pop up on completely wrong places on the map. It seems as if cashed information gets distorted some how, causing links not to show, or to show up wrong, and data to be altered before being entered to the mysql database.

I have access to two other web servers. the one is more updated with newer mysql, and php versions. This is my own server, so I can alter settings and permitions as I wish. The other is an older server that I am running a different site on. As soon as I have finished converting the current template to work on Joomla, I will set up a joomla site there.
The two servers are found at :
www.world-fishing.org (an external Web hotel)
www.world-fishing.info (On an ADSL line in my apartment)
