First off I am not a developer so I don't know how easy/hard this would be, but...

My idea would be to have a link on the picture page that when clicked on would open a popup containing google maps with it zooming in on the point the picture was taken. How would it do this, by reading the GPS part of the EXIF details.

I think you would need the ability to turn this on and off not just as a global setting but also as an individual image basis, as you might not want this kind of detail for all images.

Like I said not sure how difficult this would be but it would be a really nice feature.

This is maybe some off topic, but I tested the integration between Google Maps and EventCal and this was working great.
People seemed to really like this. I also agree that a connection between the component and Google would be a great idea.

Perhaps this is something to consider for the RS Gallery 2 Developers?  Smiley
